Shelton Sports were formed in 2006 and was set up to organise football matches and sporting activities
to raise much needed funds for Charity.
The Club is non-profit making and is self sufficient in funding it's running costs and the Club's Committee
volunteer their services free of charge. The Football Club doesn't compete in a league so all players selected for a Charity match have to have clearance
from the Saturday and Sunday Clubs that they are registered with at the time. The majority of the Guest Players are from the Chellaston area and play for Saturday teams Chellaston FC,
Allenton United & Findern FC and Sunday team the Corner Pin FC and along with a number of other quality
players they form a very strong 21 man squad. The Management Team which consists of Manager Paul Massey, Coach Gareth Richards and Assistant Manager
Bryan Massey formed a formidable partnership in 2003. Winning the Derbyshire Cup in 2005 as well as reaching
2 other Cup Finals and finishing 4th in the League in 3 consecutive seasons, all with Saturday side Findern FC. The Sports Club's Management Committe is Chaired by Steve Richards, with Emma Sixsmith as Treasurer and Jackie Jackson
as Club Secretary. Bryan Massey, Dawn Brewin, Hazel Richards, Paul Sixsmith and Paul Bull complete the line-up. To date, we are delighted to have full support for our events from the Mayor's office and this year is no exception. The Club is based at the Golden Pheasant in Shelton Lock and we would like to take this opportunity to thank
Dennis, Kate & Staff there for their continued support and post match hospitality.
